Technically Necessary Processing

Technically necessary processing is carried out to provide the website, the buy form, license validation and security of the service. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and, where processing is needed before or for a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Purchase Form and Payment Handling

When you register a license request, we process the data you enter: name, email address, company, billing address, postal code, city, country, VAT ID, requested machine count and message. This data is used to process your license request, send invoice or payment instructions, handle payment confirmation, issue a one-year license and provide support. A license key is not automatically created by the form; it is issued after order review and payment confirmation.

License Validation

The desktop app sends the license key, customer email and a machine identifier to this server to validate the license, expiry date and machine limit. The server stores activations and last validation timestamps to prevent misuse and to provide license support.

Email Communication

If an active license exists for an email address, the server can send that existing license key to the licensed email address. If no active license exists, it may send information about buying a license. Purchase confirmations and payment instructions are also sent by email.

Recipients and Storage

Recipients of data may include technical service providers for hosting, email delivery and system maintenance. Purchase requests and license records are stored for contract handling, accounting, security and support according to statutory retention requirements. If no contract is concluded, non-required inquiry data can be deleted on request where legally possible.

Information about Your Right to Object according to Art. 21 GDPR

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
